In this screen you can organize and manage your fleets. In here
you can everything from how many units you have to where your fleets are
traveling and how many of them you have as well. Going from top to bottom, left
to right here is a description of every function you can see in the fleet
screen.
First on top Left it shows you what your main fleet is composed
of at the moment. Under the main fleet you can see a link to a disband page, on
that page you can get rid of any units you do not want or cannot support. Notice
that if you have a fleet traveling somewhere, then the units in that fleet won't
be shown in the main fleet.
On top right are the Fleet orders. The very top of them lets you
decided what to do with the fleet after you attack a planet. There are 3 choices
in the drop-down menu. You can choose to station fleet, if the attack is successful the fleet will remain on the planet to defend it. To unstation fleet from the
planet, you will have to go to planet screen, click on the planet and then click
unstation where the fleet is displayed The second choice is to wait in the
system, if you select this instead of being stationed on the planet your fleet
will wait in the system for further orders. And last option is to be recalled to
main fleet, which will automatically send your fleet back to join the main fleet
after the attack.
Under that you can see "Approximations of enemy forces to flee battles",
the initial values are as shows at 200%, 200%, 250% and 250%, that means that if the enemy forces for
that stage of combat are more that 200% or 250% of your own you will retreat (ex. if
you have 100 fighters and your enemy has 200 or more, then you will retreat). If
you want to change those values just assign new ones and click on change.
Fleets orders
Further down you can see if you have any traveling fleets. There
you can see if you have any fleets that are traveling anywhere, if there is more
than 1 fleet they will displayed that way and each will have it's own
destination and target and ETA (estimated time of arrival). If the fleet has
arrived at it's destination instead of ETA you will see a link "Ready to
attack" (exploration ships are an exception to that, they explore
automatically when they get to their target). Click on the link to see the
outcome of the battle. In "Orders" you can recall your fleet back as well as give
them a different order.
Lastly at the very bottom you can see your main fleet, there you
can dispatch a new fleet to a different target, simply type in how many of each
unit you want to send, then select the order you want to give (you can chose
from attack the planet, station on planet and move to system) and type in the
coordinate of the planet or system and press "Send". The fleet will
appear in "traveling fleets" the next time you load the fleet page.
Clicking a checkbox will fill the units with all of that unit you have available while clicking toggle will set them all to the maximum available.
