This armored behemoth is used to transport smaller craft through space to their destination. This is probably your most essential ships, as only it and cruisers can move through space on their own, smaller crafts like fighter, bombers and transports cannot. Carrier is designed to house to 100 of any of these crafts or a mix of them. Make sure that your carriers are always protected by cruisers in the first stage of battle. It takes quite a punch to take out a carrier, but beware enemy cruisers will almost certainly try to avoid yours and head straight for the carriers, dealing incredible damage. Carriers do not come anywhere near the planets atmosphere and therefore non of the ground units can hit them.
