Map

When you look at the map section on your sidebar you will see 3 different options which all include the word "Map" in them. Here we will talk about all 3 and how to use them to the most effect.

Galaxy Map

This is a picture of the actual galaxy configuration from Beta 2 round.

On this model you cannot click on the picture because this particular galaxy does not exist anymore, but in the game you can click on any region of the map and it will zoom in on that region and show a specific portion of the map, just like this:

Coordinate System: Map coordinates run on an XY axis and are fairly simple. Each system has a coordinate, the first number of the system coordinate is its position on the X-axis (horizontal) and the second is it's position on the Y-axis (vertical), so if the coordinate of a system is 6,4 for example, it's 4 squares to the right and 6 squares down from the point of origin which is top left corner. 

Home Planet: Your home planet can only be in the home system of your empire. Home Systems are always marked on the map by having brackets around them (on map above notice 3,3 6,4 and 10,9). You cannot explore any planets in the home system even if there are empty ones as they are reserved for new factionss. Also your home planet cannot be attacked, that guarantee that you cannot be totally destroyed in the game.   

Green with bracket:  Your home system

Green: Systems in which you own at least one planet

Blue with bracket: Your ally's home system (note: both sides must ally each other before they see their position on the map)

Red with bracket: Your enemies home system (note: war must be declared in order for that to be seen)

Grey: You do not own a planet in this system, but you can still see what planets there are there.

 

Full Map

Clicking here will bring up a map of the whole galaxy. It will be just like the detailed picture above but a lot bigger. As you can see our detailed picture is 10x10 sectors and the Galaxy picture above is 120x120, so when you click on the full map it will also be 120x120 sectors.

 

Map Generation

Here you can generation the planet list of any faction or empire in the galaxy, all you need to know is either empire number for the empire and either faction name or his ID number. Use one of the slots in the generator, select what you want to be displayed from the drop-down menu and type in the name or ID number or empire number in the slot next to it, then select the color which you wish the planets to be displayed in and click generate, you can generate a map with up to 8 factions and/or empires on it.
